KLC Internship Program

 Grace is currently a sophomore at the College of William and Mary, studying International Relations with a concentration in Latin American studies and Data Science. She has a passion for helping others and is incredibly grateful for this opportunity to serve the families of Nuevo Arenal by fostering a positive learning environment for its children! While Grace previously worked for a youth development non-profit in her home city of Pittsburgh and was a church camp counselor for seven years, she is especially thrilled to work within a community outside of her immediate culture and country.  

 Ryan interned with us in 2019, a then 18-year-old from Southern California. She had recently graduated from Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) studying Production and Design with focus in Light Design. She has always had a sense of adventure and volunteered with the GLA teen program in Thailand the previous year. Part of the program was spent volunteering at an Elephant Sanctuary dedicated to rehabilitation, while the other half took her to a local school where she assisted in English lessons for 3rd and 4th graders. It was there that her  passion for teaching and volunteering was discovered. We were fortunate that she dedicated a portion of her gap year to KLC.
